plus one was a five-episode comedy series that aired on channel 4 in the UK in early 2009. the premise: rob black's girlfriend linsey dumps him and gets together with duncan james (simply known as "duncan from blue"). eight months later, duncan and linsey get engaged and invite rob to the wedding. "rob black, plus one", that is. the five episodes cover rob's quest to find the perfect "plus one", with a little help from his PE-teaching brother who likes to date eighteen-year-olds, his sister who just had a baby and has a tendency to date gay men, his best friend who is a photographer and secretly starts having sex with rob's sister, and rob's irish female co-worker who's been harbouring a crush on him.

fans of ashes to ashes may recognize danny mays as rob black. *nods* that's how i found out about this show. if you've never seen it, do try to track it down. *nods* (do note it's unsuitable for the kidlets.)
